Two Emerging Churches

Tim Schraeder's post this morning really got me thinking.

One church is emerging into the true idea of the way Jesus meant for us to do church by creating a counter-culture - translating who God is to our culture, meeting people's needs in a practical way, becoming more and more like Christ.

The other emerging church is emerging into culture by embracing the culture, translating the church to match culture, meeting it's own needs and becoming more and more like the world.

Those quotes weren't exactly what he said, but a general idea.
That gives you (and me) something to think about."
