Uncle Aaron and Aunt Tracy took Ruby to New Smyrna Beach on Saturday. We were so thrilled when the weather got warm enough for us to take off our sweatshirts for a couple of hours. Ruby absolutely LOVED it... especially when we let her play in the sand.
First she touched it,
then she looked at it in her hand...
...then (of course) she ate it.

At last the truth is known.
Beach erosion is not the result of the tidal surge. It's not the pounding surf that's sweeping the sand out to sea. Ruby is eating the shoreline.
Sure glad to see Ruby's diet is supervised by a pediatrician. I've always heard "fiber is good for you."
