Shampoo and Conditioner

I DETEST IT WHEN MY SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER DON'T MATCH!

No matter how hard I try I can never use them equally, conditioner typically runs out first, then I have to go buy some other random conditioner to use until my shampoo runs out - which always seems to take longer than desired.

Every morning I get into my shower and I am reminded that I still haven't used up that bottle of shampoo. I am tempted to be wasteful, squirting much more than needed into the palm of my hand in an effort to make it go away so that I can go to the store, buy some matching shampoo and conditioner and start the process all over again.

Sometimes I catch Ryan using my shampoo - which typically would be irritating since his shampoo costs about .99 cents for a huge bottle and mine is...more than that - but in our case the more shampoo he uses the happier I am...

...UNLESS I have just purchased two fresh matching bottles and I catch him with the shampoo. Then I get mad that he is making them uneven.

I am really hard to live with.

Hmmm. I always use up the shampoo first. But, I only condition every other day. My shampoo costs MUCH more than Mark's; he'd better not be using it.

I'm laughing so hard right now because I am in the same predicament! 3 days ago, my conditioner ran out. I was so mad because I tried so hard this time to always use the same amount of shampoo and conditioner. I thought I was doing such a good job...until 3 days ago. Now I either have to use no conditioner until my shampoo is gone, or use something that doesn't match. How annoying...

I love it, Amber! Okay...I totally do the same thing, but I have double the problem. I use certain S/C for straight hair days and certain S/C for curly hair days. I drive myself crazy trying to match two S with their C's!

Had not realized you had a bit of the OCD, Amber! You would make a great OR nurse, a job for which a certain amount of anal retentiveness is considered essential!

I never have this problem because I always buy 2 C's for every 1 S, and it comes out very nicely. :)

HAHA! I also run out of shampoo earlier and since my S/C is way more expensive than the $2 stuff Steve uses, I try to buy it on special, as a pair! So THEN, i HAVE to use Steve's $2 stuff until I'm 100% out - which is annoying!! Maybe this isn't so much OCD, as it is just being a girl!

Oh, I feel like "Real Simple" magazine right now!

Here are my tips to solving one of the many universal female problems. I keep an extra bottle of each....strictly back up bottles. They hide under the sink until I need them. I use them to refill bottles, or to swap until I can replace them both with brand spankin' new bottles! OR - when I want to empty a bottle - I fill a travel bottle!
