Text Messaging

Yesterday at church they did something I'd never seen before. During worship, they asked people to text their praises to a certain number, then they flashed those prayers and praises on the side wall for all to see. I liked it. I thought it was culturally relevant, even innovative.

I thought it was a great idea...but I didn't personally text. Why not?

Mainly because I don't have free texting on my phone plan...
I am a tight wad.

Yeah, I am going to steal that idea. That is sooo cool! I heard of something similar where I church set up a confessional-type thing and had a laptop, but I definitely love the texting idea.

I enjoyed it too. Congrats to Greg/Kara for trying something different and techy. I hope we see it again.

(p.s. for those of you who are into tech stuff, the web and more... Patrick and I (both go to the Upper Room) have a vLog we run... check it out and let us know what you think. www.digitalpunch.tv
