It's Snowing

When we first moved to Grand Rapids I could not believe how much it snows here. I think I wore my huge snow boots every single day for 4 months... Each morning when I'd open the door to go to work I'd see fresh fallen snow. Incredible. It's been that way each winter since, and this morning it seems that the snowy winter has begun.

This is the view out my front window right now.
We got 8-10 inches last night and it's supposed to keep snowing all day! Better go find my boots!

It's snowing in Houston right now!!!!!! I just said on my blog that it is SO dumb to admit that seeing the snow gets me all misty-eyed. It's so beautiful and SO rare for us. Even if it doesn't stick! I just LOVE it!

No snow here... :( We got no snow and small deer...However, we do have palm trees and beaches...so that should count for something. I miss cold during this season though. Time for a trip to Grand Rapids.

It has snowed all day, and we've played and giggled outside with the neighbors. It makes me so happy! Of course, trying to find appropriate snow attire among my tropics wardrobe was a challenge. I put plastic sandwich bags over my daughter's hands and then put her mittens on her! It worked liked a charm, though...should have done the same for her feet!
